The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is causing confusion, anxiety, and disarray throughout our community. The Chesterfield Food Bank is working hard to fulfill the rising demands within our neighborhoods as we strive to stay in touch with everyone who is in need of assistance as well as everyone who wants to help during this tumultuous time.

If You Need Assistance

We are currently operating with drive-thru distributions at all locations. You will not exit your vehicle. Please join the line and await further instructions.

If You Want to Help

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We are requesting online registration of volunteers so that we can ensure all needs are met.

Statement from the Chesterfield Food Bank Dated June 2020

Covid-19 Statement – June 2020

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chesterfield Food Bank has worked hard to meet and exceed state and national safety and health guidelines in order to protect our staff, our volunteers, and those we have the privilege to serve on a weekly basis. We believe that each individual is responsible for making the choices that protect themselves and others. Organizationally, we must make similar choices.

We have recently been made aware that one of our outdoor distribution lead volunteers has tested positive for the Coronavirus.  This individual is asymptomatic and their spouse was also tested with negative results.

Even though this person is not currently experiencing symptoms, it reminds us that Covid-19 is still a threat. In keeping with the guidelines we implemented at the beginning of this pandemic, this individual is no longer serving as a volunteer until he has quarantined for 14 days and has had a follow-up test with negative results.

We are confident in the measures we have put in place at the Chesterfield Food Bank, from our cleaning regimens, to providing facemasks and gloves, and creating a volunteer experience that provides social distancing. This ensures that we are offering the safest environment possible for our volunteers and our clients making it possible for us to continue to serve our community.

While we stand confident that we are exceeding all safety guidelines; we will, however, continue to evaluate our processes and procedures for our staff, volunteers, and our clients so that we can continue to strengthen our efforts in keeping everyone safe.  We encourage each of you to maintain rigorous social distancing measures, wear a face masks over both your mouth and nose, continue the proper use of gloves and diligent hand washing so we can keep ourselves and our community safe.

Standing together, six feet apart, we as a community are stronger..

Thank you from the CFB Team
